El pásado 4 de septiembre partíamos rumbo a Tailandia para realizar un training camp previo al campeonato de mundo militar de triatlón. El lugar elegido fue Phuket, más concretamente las instalaciones de Thanyapura.

El lugar es idílico para entrenar triatlón. Tiene unas buenas instalaciones al aire libre. Cuenta con piscina de 50 y 25m, pista de atletismo, gimnasio además de disponer de innumerables rutas ciclistas con diferentes distancias y perfiles. La comida es buena, el servicio muy amable y las habitaciones grandes, preparadas para satisfacer las necesidades de los triatletas.

El objetivo del camp era el de realizar la puesta a punto para el campeonato y acumular más horas de entreno en bici y carrera a pie, el calor de Bahrein nos ha condicionado mucho a la hora de entrenar estos dos segmentos durante el verano.

Para los amantes de los datos decir que hemos nadado 47 km, pedaleado 22 horas y corrido 10 horas, además de realizar 4 sesiones de fuerza y 6 de CORE en los 15 días que ha durado el camp.

En breve marchamos a Korea al 6th CISM Military World Championship. Esperemos que el trabajo realizado se vea reflejado el día de la competición.

 

 BTA-BDF training camp started the past September 4th in Phuket, Thailand. The aim of the camp was to training specifically train for the next 6th CISM Military World Championship. The sessions took place at the beautiful Thanyapura Resort.

This is an incredible place for training triathlon. There are incredible outdoors facilities as the 50 and 25 m swimming pools, track, gym, and endless bike route.The staff is super friendly and you can find good international food at the restaurant.

The weather in Thailand, although it was rainy, allowed us to perform all thes sessions that we weren’t able to perform in Bahrain due to the extrem heat.

For those who love the numbers, we swam 47 km, rode during 22h and ran 10h. we also did 4 strength sessions and 6 CORE sessions. Obviously, we did them with different training intensities along the 15 days that the camp lasted.

We are almost heading to Korea and we hope all the job done pays off on the race day.
