Ha pasado ya algún tiempo desde que publiqué el último post. Los meses de Diciembre y Enero han supuesto un antes y después en mi carrera profesional. En el mes de Diciembre recibí una oferta laboral de la Federación de Triatlón de Bahrein. Después de meditarlo durante algún tiempo decidí aceptar y emprender un camino nuevo que, con mucho trabajo y dedicación, me llevará a pelear por el sueño olímpico.
En el mes de Enero, una vez el contrato estaba cerrado, anuncié en redes sociales que había firmado como entrenador del equipo nacional de triatlón de la federación de Bahrein. Este ha sido uno de los pasos más grande que he dado en mi carrera y del que estoy muy orgullosos por todo el trabajo que lleva detrás.
Como no todo en esta vida puede ser perfecto, el cambio ha afectado prácticamente todos los compromisos deportivos que tenia con otros deportistas, mi contrato aquí me exige exclusividad. Con todo el dolor de mi corazón, he tenido que abandonar todos los proyectos que tantas alegrías me han dado en el pasado, y que sin duda alguna, han hecho que yo ahora mismo este trabajando aquí. Estaré eternamente agradecido a todos los deportistas que han confiado en mí para llevar su preparación en estos últimos años, ellos me han hecho crecer como persona y como profesional día tras día.
A partir de ahora un nuevo horizonte se abre con este nuevo proyecto deportivo, es tiempo de trabajar muy duro con disciplina y dedicación, seguir creciendo y transmitir lo aprendido en el pasado a mis nuevos deportistas. Es hora de remangarse las mangas y ponerse a trabajar, como dice mi atleta Abdulla, los aros olímpicos no vienen en los happy meals. #Let’sdothis
It has been a while since my last post. I have gone through a very busy months. I have decided to give an important shift in my professional career. Last December, I recieved an more than interesting a job offer from Bahrain Triathlon Association. It didn’t take me long to decide and I accepted, therefore, a new chapter of my life was going to begin, this time, I see myself closer to fight for the olympic dream.
I announced my new role as a national coach at Bahrain Triathlon Association in all my social media channels last January, once the contract was signed up . This has been, without hesitation, one of the biggest decisions I have ever taken, all the job done in the past has paid off and I can only be proud of myself.
Unfortunately, life is not perfect, this move has forced me end up with all the sport agreements and contracts I had with other athletes. I can only thank them for their understanding and for trusting me as a coach during the past years. I’ll be forever grateful to them, they made me be better person and better coach day by day.
Nowadays, I have a new sport project ahead which requires hard work, dedication and big dose of discipline. It is time to keep growing up, to learn and to share with my new squad all the knowledge learnt in the past. It’s time to rool up the sleeves, as Abdulla says, Olympic rings don’t come with the happy meal. #Let’sdothis
